id say more than half of the worlds populations is in some kind of debt. Would the world be better without credit cards?

i try to manage my spending no matter what...cash or credit...but i agree that it has put many in debt with no way of getting out...

The economy perhaps would be far worse through less spending, even if it's spending money people don't have. I don't really care because I don't use them!

No. Credit cards keep down the people who aren't skilled enough to manage their money. It's a Darwinian thing.
