Hi
If there is a thing say a body, there is a shadow, if there is nobody there is no shadow. It has no existence otherwise. It is a negative force. We only have to believe in God and we should do good things, if we are not engaged in good things , then whatever we are doing is devil's work, the negative force within us. No need to believe in Devil/Satan/Iblis etc.
Thanks
I am an Ahmadi - a peaceful faith in Islam, working for unity of all religions with peaceful means.

Thanks for all the comments. Yap i do believe that the devil exists if our hearts is unpure and full of evil. He will exist if we do not believe in God and ask for His forgiveness for our sins. No matter what religion we may be at, there is still that almighty one above all else and that is the merciful and loving God.

I do believe he exists, but I wouldn't go so far as to say that I believe IN him because I think that when you believe IN something, you have faith in that something or someone. I very much believe in God therefore I acknowledge that the devil exists, and in order to keep him at bay I praise and magnify God, amen!

is the devil real? I believe a force for evil exists but that it is an impersonal one, not a being. Really we humans can mess things up quite nicely without any help from anyone.
As for hell ... well I see 'hell,' if you will, as a last chance, a chance to see that there are consequences to our actions that outlive us. I certainly don't accept a place of literal flame where spirits are tormented but perhaps a place where we get a chance to consider / think / contemplate our lives without the distractions of bodies

No. I'm Pagan. We don't believe in the devil. That's a Christian entity.
I don't believe in the devil any more than I believe in a Christian god. There is no "all-evil" being, any more than there is any *one and only* God.
The idea of only one God who is all-good is what generates the need for a concept of one who is all-bad. The Christian god has to have a "foil," an opposite.
Paganism, at least the kind I practice, doesn't conceive of Divinity that way. Divinity is everything, creative and destructive, "good" and "bad."
