depends on the girl.. her attitude.. ur attitude... whether u want time pass love.. or serious.. so u need to take a note of all these issues... But I agreeto what the previous person commented.. a rose or flower with those three magical words... a card woukld also be helpful!

Go back to the place you met her and propose, or take her somewhere she has always wanted to go, Have it displayed at a sporting event game or Time Square bulletin, pay for a bill board on the highway she comes home from. Anything from the heart will work, just don't PLEASE don't do it on Valentines or Sweetest day,that is SO played out! Make the day and place special for you two.

This is coming from how I would like to proposed to haha, but take her out for the evening. A nice, romantic dinner and almost let her THINK that you're going to propose. But don't. After dinner and wherever else you decide to do, head back home. If you guys live together (or if not, go to either your place or hers) and right when she least expects it, propose to her! :)
