I think I'd be lost without a car, computer, and since the kids grew up and I don't necessarily cook decent meals like I used to, a microwave! I could easily live without a TV, although my husband couldn't!

it depends upon the indivual interest and taste. what is luxury to u may not be a luxury for me or other some one. It is your own personal desires which counts this luxury . and as per my opinion, you should think all the barriers and decide the basic needs, your personal needs and not for just show or status your personal needs and go for that . there is nothing wrong in that . there is no such item other than the grace of god without which you cannot do any things.

The personal computer, it's a luxury and a necessity. I use it to make money as an artist and it's made life easier for that way because I can sell to people all around the world without doing any traveling. So in that way it's a necessity. You can use it to play games, chat with people, write letters, etc in that way it's a luxury.

Before five years ago computers were considered as luxury, but now computer is considered as necessity. Before ten years ago television was considered as luxury, but now television is considered as necessity. Longtime ago cars were considered as luxury and owned by only upper class people, now for middle class the car is has become necessity. As time changes the things that are luxury have turned into necessity and affordable.

Besides electricity and indoor plumbing?
I would go nuts without my computer, would starve without a microwave, and would lose touch with everything if I didn't have the internet.
I haven't had my cell phone two years, so I think I could live without it.

I think it would be easier for me to give up indoor plumbing than the computer!
