I do not buy newspapers everyday. Instead I'd buy on Tuesday and Friday because it has my favourite IT pullouts. Because of my passion for IT, I seldom read in details other news.
However, if there is a major international or local event that attracts me, then it is a daily affair to buy the papers.

Whenever I buy a newspaper, I always make it a point to open the business page as I want to be always updated with the stock market. I do this to find out which equities went up or down or went sideways. So that I would know which equities I will be investing in or which to avoid.

My favourite part is the finance.
Yes kinda strange but in friday, they have cool stuff in there, like reviews of new cellphones and computers, 10 interesting facts about a large known company (say MCdonalds), and wierd gadgets from the internet.

I read the comics in the newspaper. Otherwise the rest (world news, current events, etc) I read online because our media is becoming more hogwash everyday so it's hard to find good, pertinent articles in my local newspaper. I prefer to read the news in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, The Economist, and Time.

The headlines page. Other than headlines, maybe tv programme guide, to check what's on tv that day.
