There is nothing wrong in confessing. Probably people who are suffering and people who committed heinous acts inform their actions here probably with sole idea that: 1. They want to get rid of the stuff from their mind 2. They possibly think that some valuable suggestion may comethrough here so that they can follow those to over the trauma/sin One should appreciate atleast people come out and speak of their actions - subjective or objective.

What kind of confessions are you talking about? They say confession is good for the soul.

The internet is anonymous and perhaps there are some people who feel comfortable confessing this way. For me personally, no I do not think it would make me feel any better doing it this way. However we are all individuals and what suits one person, doesn't necessarily suit another so if confessing anonymously over the internet makes a person feel better, good luck to them.
