How many of you have to mark down on the calender when you're expecting your next period? I've always had this weird ability of detecting when my period is arriving (without writing it down on the calander or without experiencing cramps). How do you know when your period is coming?

I wear the wire dangling earings. I have a big problem with wearing most post earings. My ears get infected with them. Doesn't matter what the metal is in them either. I've had surgical steel posts do it as well as gold and silver. Don't know why but my body won't handle it so I still with the wires.

This is to go to show you not to have more then one window open at a time. I hit the wrong respond button because I was going back and forth. Sorry about that.
Usually I can tell when my period is coming due to migraines and my mood. I get PMS really bad. crying at the drop of a hat, getting angry easy, the whole stereotypical woman when she has PMS. Give me chocolate and leave me alone.

28 days is an average, and this isn't true for all women. perhaps if you're on the pill, but that isn't even necessarily the case. I keep track of my cycles, partly because I want to know how long my cycles are. They are not 28 days long. Some months they are 23 days long, sometimes 32 days.. it just really depends. :) The length of your cycle also depends on when (what day) in your cycle you ovulated. And this varies from woman to woman, and from cycle to cycle.

Mine is very irregular, for that reason I have to write it down on a calendar. When I was 18 I took the pill to have a more regular and less painful period. I´ve stopped taking it about a year ago and I´m back to painful and irregular periods. Isn´t it great to be a woman?

I know without writing it down. I get cramps, irritated and more hungry then usual.

I will occasionally (basically when I remember) write down when I got my last one. I always get mine basically on the same date of every month. So that always helps me out. I've hardly even been caught off guard.

That's easy. Mine is the same every month give or take a day or two. My chest gets really sore about a week before and my back hurts really bad. In about a week after everything hurts its time.

I'd circle the day I started on the calendar that way when the next month rolled around I'd have a good idea of when to expect it. Plus I'd show the normal signs (cramps and what not). I think only once or twice it surprised me.

I dont know how you do it. But mine is a strict 28 day cycle. But i mark it to check which is the next day of the month i will be gettin it so thta i can be prepared. However, i do get sore, as well as get cranky the day before that. SO that is an indicator as well. :p

I never have had to write it down. Before I took the pill, my period was extremely irregular, and it would show up all over the place (would come, leave in 2 days, 2 months later reappear for 3 days, reappear 3 weeks later etc...)
Despite this, I always knew when it was coming. I wouldn't experience cramps, but about a week before I'd feel slightly bloated, like I had eaten too much. And about 3 days before it came, I would get this weird feelng in the small of my back, like an icy ache.
Now I'm on the pill it comes like clockwork, but I still get the same symptoms.

I don't really have the habit of marking on the calender. My period has always been rather regular on a 28 day cycle and I do experience PMS a week before it comes. Recent years, I experience some stomach cramps and sometimes I have break outs on my face.

I use mymonthlycycles.com It perdicts your next 6 periods and when you're more likely to be fertile. Though I can still pretty much tell with my body when I'm going to have my period. Plus I have some pimples when my period is near.
