Never mind. Flame me or do whatever you want. I am not against free speech. Nor am I some sort of psycho who wants to decide what people can do or cannot do. I started this discussion to discuss this idea, I never wanted to ban politics or limit free speech in anyway. I just wanted to hear other people's opinion on this subject.

but the problem with discussing politics is that the debate usually gets so heated up that either someone's feeling get hurt or someone gets so frustrated that they do things that they would otherwise not do.

But that's the problem, most of the time, people get so frustrated that they do things they won't normally do.

I think politics should be allowed. What is it that you don't think the discussions aren't accomplishing? For some, it is a way to improve their political rhetoric. For others, it is a way to improve writing. Yet, others it helps them communicate frustrations they have with an administration, where other places they can not. I think you are wrong that it doesn't accomplish anything. Debates are good, they are brain food. What's wrong with that? If we all agreed about everything...well that would be boring!
