XBOX 360 and XBOX which games can play on both?

I owned an XBOX before my XBOX360 I got for christmas. I own a lot of xbox games and don't want them to go to waste. how many play on the xbox360? is it good to play them on it? does it damage the system? are the graphics worse? should I just buy new games and exchange the others? help!
Please provide pros and cons

again its a matter of choice, if you enjoyed the xbox games keep them and play them on the 360, they will do NO damage to you 360, again there are a few games which do not work but microsoft provide patches for this. The only advantage of getting proper 360 games is that they should have better graphics and that is about it:D
