I sew things ocassionally. I actually have only just recently learned to knit. I also have an embroidery sewing machine that I'm trying to get the hang of!

I love crafting- I do not knit however. I do alot of different types of crafting.
I can embroider, sew (have made several quilts, and quillo's, wall hangings, etc.), I would say my favorite craft is wood crafts.
Each week 5 of us women get together and make wood crafts- We buy the wood in sheets (knotty pine, plywood, luon, barn board (this is hard to find).. then buy patterns off the internet of books out of stores. trace the patterns onto the boards and cut them out (we have one of our husbands do the cutting)-- then we girls sand them, paint them, and put them together.. Its so much fun! It takes on average 3 weeks to finish a project... the big ones-- if we do small projects it could take 1 week.
I love to craft.

I crochet, sew and reborn "babies". To find the time (because I always have at least 3 projects going on at the same time!) I try to concentrate one day per project and alternate.

I used to do cross-stitch, but that was before I discovered knitting - I haven't gone back to cross-stitch since! It just seemed like it took so long to make something that wasn't really useful - I'd much rather knit for a few hours and have a hat!
I do a lot of paper-crafts - like cardmaking and scrapbooking. However, the majority of my craft time is spent knitting!

I can understand why you don't have enough time to do many crafts! I would love to have a farm to take care of again, but I don't, so I spend more time online and crafting. Knitting is relaxing to me, too and sometimes I find myself getting sleepy with needles in my hands.
P.S. I would like to learn to spin yarn, too. I got a drop spindle but have never done much with it. One of these days, though!

Red Heart used to put out a really good pamplet that showed how to start knitting. I don't know if they still do, but there are a lot of books on it, if you learn easily that way. Also, look up knitting videos on the internet, or just "Learn to knit" and you'll find lots of instructions.
And if you get stuck, come here and ask for help. There are plenty of knitters here who can help!

I want to start up crafting again. Before I had my twins (15 now) I used to own a small shop that we sold our crafted items in with my best friend. It never made us a ton of money but it was fun. I gave it up knowing with 3 little ones I'd be pressed for time. But I love to craft, everything from painting ornaments to just creating different things. I would LOVE to learn to knit though. I'm not sure if I could or not as my MS sometimes acts up limiting my small motory skills but I've heard it's not nearly as tedious with your hands as crocheting.

I have a needlepoint dragon painting I'm 3/4 done with. I've literally been working on it for years. I do gourd art. I paint. I sew all my own costumes for belly dancing. I never have enough time to do them all but I refuse to give any of them up! Right now I'm making pottery for a pit firing later this month. And I'm learning flintknapping, which is making arrowheads out of stone. And I have a flute kit to build.
It's amazing how much time you free up for crafts when you stay off the internet, stop watching TV and hang up your cellphone.

I like to chrochet, latch hook, make wrethes, homemade pottery, Knitt, tatting, (love to read), write short stories for my son and Love to sew anything. Yes, it is time consuming, but when your at home watching TV, it is very easy to do the things listed above, besides I love mutlitasking and that is it at it's best. I even take my progects with me when I go somewhere (my husband drives), in the car, at the Dr. office at friends homes (they get intrested and it please & tickles me to end that I can teach them something new), when I go to my moms house (and when I am on the phone, especialy the longwinded ones). I am addicted.

Aside from knitting, I did cross stiching before when I was in highschool. But now because I'm busy, I don't have time to finish the one I've started. It's Japanese Garden. Hope I can finish it soon.

I also like calligraphy and beading. But I mostly knit, because the products are most consistent.

I used to knit years ago, but then went on to cross stitch, then handmade card making.
I seem to have gone full circle as i'm back to knitting again. I'm having to remember the stitches again. i'm sure i will get there eventually

I usually do several projects at once. So when I get frusterated with one, I move on to one that I am not frusterated with. I have found that I finish projects quicker this way, because I don't get mad and just quit. I just redirect my attention.
I knit, cross-stitch, and quilt.
