Our neighborhood security is that we're pratically surrounded by police officers. The is one that lives right across the road. There is one who lives practically across the back yard. There is a sergant who lives right around the corner. Then there is another officer who lives 1 road over and about 2 blocks up. And we live in the chief of police's house lol
It doesn't seem to do a lot of good though. Not that they don't try but there isn't a lot you can do with juveniles especially when the juvenile officers just slap them on their hands and say don't do it again.
The kids in the area have a BAD habit of just standing in the middle of the road not wanting to move. Drives me nuts lol

We live in the suburbs, so we relie on the local police for Security. We use to have a neighbourhood watch, but you don't see or hear much about it anymore.

Well we used to have a thing around here called a "block parent". Any time you would see this sign in the window of a house/business (I will provide a picture with the post), you knew that it was a place you could go for help (both minor help-eg bandaids for a cut or major help-eg being chased). It's a shame that I rarely see these signs around anymore though, I used to see them all the time.

We have districts, there are police in every district. I live in the 6 district. they only cover a certain area.

our family is presently residing in a simple community. we moved here 12 years ago. houses are too much close with each other. most of the times, crowded with children.
if we talked about security .. we have a lot of patrol men on duty especially when the night fall starts.. before 10pm will strike, a voice from a mobile patrol mega speaker will be heard as a reminder for the "curfew" ( for ages of minority). maybe this could not be enough protection to have, especially, too many crimes had been happening. not at all times we have enough patrol man to protect us i think that people in the neighborhood should be cooperative and be helpful in each and everyone.

My neigbhorhood has a person or people designated as the neighborhood watch person to make sure our neighborhood is safe and secure. I am not sure who that person is but I do feel we need to have better security, especially lately. I do see county cops pass through occasionally but not enough compared to all the suspicious activity that is going on. I am going to our neighborhood meeting the following tuesday to address this problem and see if more can be done. We do have some security but not enough in my opinion.

There is not any sort of an official neighbourhood watch in my area. Since I do live in a small country where people enjoy minding other people's business, yes there is a sort of un official neighbourhood watch.
