We use to eat fried green banana (plantain) in Nigeria. Banana fritters, you can get them in Red Rooster along with pineapple fritters.

Fried bananas? In Philippines, we called that "bananacue". Bananas are deep-fried in oil with "brown" sugar. We called it "bananacue" because it is like a "barbecue". After the bananas are deep-fried it was skewered in stick (two bananas per stick). But with this bananacue, not all types of bananas are use, only the not so soft-types bananas are use. We call them "saba", the one with bigger black seed in it. Another type of fried bananas is "turon". This one, bananas are wrap in rice-paper, then deep-fried. And served as is. Now, there are variations of this turon, some include jackfruit in it to add flavor. Bananacue would cost for 5 pesos or about 0.10 U.S. dollar per stick while turon would cost 2 to 5 pesos per piece depending on the variety you would choose. Have a nice eating. I miss bananacue and turon.

Yeah, I like fried bananas. In Latin American countries they often cook fried Plantains which are a lot like bananas.
