why guitars have 6 strings?

hey guita not only have 6 strings..some guitar havce 4 some have 7 and even 12 havent u seen other types of guitar also..actually your question should have been why most of the guitar have 6 strings...

you know why...let me tell you the truth and this is true from the truth of the true. no other truth than the truth...the guitar has 6 strings just because it is a guitar. if it has less than 6, it is no more a guitar. then if it has a string, then we call it G string. Am i right?

It is made that way to give you the full range of tones that's needed for music. Listen to all the tones you can get with all the strings. It allows not just the extreme ranges, but the mid ranges also
