I think most people would think the movies. Right now I'm reading the books so I would say the books.

In this case my vote is to Movie. Because Books are read thru communication which requires lots of extra knowledge & personal interest. No one can insist anyone to read a book unless until they have their own personal interest in book reading.
But Movies communicate visually which anyone can see and anyone who know the language can understand. For all you know that Harry Potter is translated in many worldy languages which makes it more comfortable to reach many parts of the world.

I would say the movies, but the movies have so many parts cut out, to reduce the length so I'll always prefer the books.

I think that most people know it by the movie now. I know that there are alot of book lovers out there, but I still think that most people just watch the movies cause it is easier.

I think it's become popular to just watch the movie instead of the book, but me, I'm waiting for the movie to come out just to see how close it gets to the book, which I've read about 5 times, not including the other books I'd read before their movies came out. A true HP fan would've read the books and be fluent in the contents.

i think it would be both because people knew harry potter from the books that is why they made the film which is not entirely showing the contents of the books. what's best about the films is the fact that you see what you would have imagined while or when you read the books.

I will think about the harry potter movie. I only watch the movie. I never read the book. But, I heard from some people that is some part of story in the book that is not available in the movie.

Well, I knew of the books but I never read them before I saw the movies. The movies are what really hooked me in because I wasn't sure how good the story would be. I didn't want to read the book and then be disappointed. Glad to say that since watching the movies I have gone back and read the books and was quite impressed.

I would think of the book, but the images would be of the movie. Because the movie is visual and u can c rather than imagine. But the books are way better, I hate the people who only have seen the movies cause they lazy.

the movie of course. and i think that everybody would do the same because it's easier to imagine someone you've actually seen.although i've read the books first, i can't imagine harry looking different
