*sigh* I hope so. The fact that he made the effort to TELL her he was going to miss her (other than the fact that he gave me the utz lol) should be enough to at least keep the audience's interest peaked in this budding relationship.

I hope their relationship lasts, too. I'd like to see them "come out" and not keep it a secret. But Sarah certainly didn't look happy when Grissom was saying goodbye, and didn't comment when he said he'll miss her. I think he's going to have a lot of making up to do when he returns.

I loved when he told her that he would miss her! I think our boy Gil has been hurt and is just now comming out of his shell. I am thinking it will work out. She's waited for him this long...

Grissom and Sarah's relationship might not last that long. But then again we never know. They might surprise us and have their relationship work out. I guess we just have to wait and see.

I agree with you. I for one almost fell off my chair when he and Lady Heather got together! Looking back on it it made since but at the time, I was floored!

I have heard that William Petersen is taking on more production and behind the scenes work. You may be right. Grissom said before he went on his teaching Sabatical that he missed having students, maybe he gives up the lab for the classroom?

I don't look at it as "giving in", I look at it as being slapped in the face by his own mortality. I think he realized that he didn't want to be alone and he has always had some feelings for Sarah. I think that Grissom summed up what I am trying to say best whaen they had to let the Doctor go that killed the nurse and chopped up her new boyfriend about 2 seasons back, he woke up one day and discovered he was middle-aged and had devoted so much time to his career that life had passed him by, the young lady gave him a chance at the life he wanted desperately.

I agree! I don't see them changing diapers any time soon, but I agree that they are soulmates and I am glad the the writers didn't pair him up with the blonde detective! I was suprised when he hooked up with Lady Heather.

It might survive the 4 week break, but I doubt it will be a lasting relationship. I don't think its meant to be a lasting one.

I don't think it's meant to be a lasting one either. They kind of just snuck the suspicion in and then dropped it. I disagree with some of the others. I don't think Sara was too upset about Grissom leaving, although perhaps she was putting on a strong front. But in most shows, after the guy walks out the door you would have expected her to say "I'll miss you too," to an empty room.

I know there has been an underlying build up in their relationship for a couple of years, and it was topped off with the bedroom scene at the end of last season, but I don't see these two together. I don't see either one of them with anybody. Sara admitted on another episode that she was so against marriage and has never shown any interest in any guy she has come across, not like Katherine who has flirted with a couple of guys. Though they did leave us hanging with this, he will either come back and straighten it out for us or it will be left unresolved... and just what it was, a one night stand.

Darn! I haven't seen this episode yet! I certainly hope the relationship will survive. It took them long enough to get together! And why would Sarah be so upset? Four weeks really isn't that long run. Hang on Gil and Sarah! Don't make us cry!

I am pulling for them too! I think that Sarah gets Gil more than he gets her. I really thought it was sweet that he sent her the caccoon!

I am not a fan of the Grissom and Sarah relationship. I don't like Sarah for Grissom.

I definitely think it will survive the four weeks though not without its bumps. That's what TV romance is all about-a little angst.
I also think it's going to be a lasting relationship because it took so long to get them together and from what I understand WP is either leaving next season or doing some very limited episodes.

I agree about the relationship. This is the first I have heard of Billy leaving us. I guess maybe he is getting burned out playing this character, it has been a while. I wish him well whatever he does, he is one of the best actors I have seen!

I don't know if this relationship will last. Grissom is so complecated. He is not like most leading men. Grissom likes bugs and he get so caught up in a case he doesn't think about anything else. Sarah is very forcefull. She is just not what I would picture Grissom with.

i think it should. They went this long before giving into their want of each other. Plus who knows how often they will talk to each other while he is gone!
