DELICATESSEN is a wonderful film by directors Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Marc Caro. It has something for everyone - comedy, suspense, music, romance, action, and surrealism. It takes place in a post-apocalyptic future, and deals with the tenants of a run-down boarding house, each of which are fascinating and somewhat disturbed in their own ways. They have just taken on a new resident - a former circus performer who is very handy around the building. However, unbeknownst to him, the other tenants have an arrangement with the owner/landlord - an arrangement which involves his untimely demise! If you have seen CITY OF LOST CHILDREN or AMELIE, or you're a fan of the work of Terry Gilliam such as BRAZIL or TIME BANDITS, be sure to find this film!
