Do you think a "marriage" arranged by parents will work?

I went to Bicol for a holiday vacation and my seatmate in the bus asked me if its okey if she will grab the o42nity offering by her parent & a family friend "a marriage arrangement b/w her and the groom" (family friend), though thier families knew each other well but they dont have any mutual feelings & understanding at the back of the good future & wealth they are offering for her.

personally, i wont go for arranged marriage since i believe that love should be the primary reason why i would marry someone. i cant imagine waking up in the morning with a stranger in the same bed. but hey, is it possible to learn to love someone? its another story right? ΓΌ
