Can we live without electricity? How will life be?

When oil sources are depleted, are we bound to go back to the Dark Ages?

I really don't feel that having no electricity would mean going back as far as the Dark Ages, and the world lived just fine without it, and if it means one day going back to being without it, yes we can live...it would definitely be an adjustment, and a lot of todays entertainment options would be lost, but yes, the world would survive without it.
