As "Psychology Today" magazine put it, nothing has caused more heartache than the concept of soulmates. You can learn to love, and be happy with, almost anyone in this world. I've heard it said, and I agree, that soulmates are in part a way to shrug off responsibility......hey, if the relationship requires work or has a problem, well gee, they must not be my soulmate and I'm not going to "waste" my time doing any actual work. Also, I find it a little amusing the number of people on some boards that were lucky enough to find their soulmate, their one person on this earth that's right for them. You'd think that out of something like 6 billion people, most people's soulmates would be difficult to come across. Guess we've got a lot of lucky people whose soulmates just happened to live in the same town, country, have the same job, were people they grew up with, etc. Out of 6 billion people, that seems a little unlikely to me, but people swear up down and sideways that it's the case, all the time.
