what type of wood are you're kitchen cabinets made of?I like oak.

I really don't have a clue. I think it's just cheap particle board. It's so old, anyway, but I live in an apartment, so I can't do anything about it. And, I've lived here so long that the wood on those cabinets are starting to splinter.
