When was the first time you've had your child have their haircut?

Did you have an easy time convincing them to have a haircut? How did you do it?

When my son was about a year old, my husband starting taking him to the barber shop when he went to get his own hair cut. One day my son just decided he wanted to get his hair cut also. That made it very easy on us. My daughter wanted long hair until she was about 6 years old. One day she just told us she wanted to get her hair cut shorter, so we took her to get it cut.

It's a good thing that your son was not afraid of the barber. My nephew is afraid of the barber so we always have a hard time convincing him to have a hair cut.

Oh, is that so? Is it the same for girls and boys or boys only?
We don't have that kind of tradition here in the Philippines though.

It's good that you did not have any problem during the first time. Tell me did your son already have a long hair then when he was 4 years old? I understand that prior to haircut some of the children have thin hairs. My daughter has a thin hair, she is 1 year 6 months old by the way.
