I have been alive for 41 years and to this day I still do not understand why people choose to label other people.Like you are republican or democrat why take those labels away and what do you have a person rich poor still people I ask why we all make mistakes and we all live different life stytles I do not like mine but until I can do better its a life what right does someone have to say there goes a poor person now person I understand why judge me for rather I am rich or poor I want people to like me for me not give me a label I am not a product I am a person with feelings.

does that make it right I can be identified by just asking me or other ways I do not need a label to identify me I am not ashamed of who I am and no one else should be I think that the problem exsist because no one realized it we keep passing broken things down from one generation to another so who takes time to try and fix at least one thing.Thank you for sharing I appreciate it.

I think as humans we are in a constant need to define things. we can not remain in uncertainity, we have to be precise and clear. Uncertainity makes us insecure so we label things and people and stuff and everything. Naming them makes our ego sore high and makes us feel all knowing. so we keep labeling. Come to think of it, this labeling is the reason that has helped us to develop our language too. lol

okay I really do not think labeling an individual helps with language but that is just my thoughts and if people need an ego boost maybe they need to talk to someone and see why this is a factor in their life I appreciate you sharing with me and I am not saying your opion is wrong and hope that you do not take it that way.

maybe it is the way our society works. And everyone has his own position in the society depending on their interst and ability. some are bosses, and some are employees. if you don't wanna be labeled by anyone, then be a free man, I mean SOHO. Just as what you are doing here, earn money by shareing your opinion with others or some other business online. I like this kind of life style, but the money here is not enough for me to make a living. So I must get a job, then be labeled by others because I have no enough capital to be a boss.
Good luck to you!

okay so just because you cannot be a boss makes you a lesser person no it don't in given time you would have the knowledge and no how to be a boss I have seen people turn down postion of authority because they did not feel comfortable telling others what to do they felt that everyone worked as a team and that is how the product gets out the door and done right is with team work, thank you for sharing with me I appreciate it.

I like a person for their kindness, helpfulness, friendliness, for not being judgemental towards someone who is older, not physically pretty, living in another country, for being of another race, the list can go, my friend.Hugs.
Like you, I do not understand why some people put labels on others and proceed to mistreat/boycott the person.

I agree with you. The world would be a more pleasant place if everybody realized that we are all humans. No one deserves to be discriminated against or judged because of their race, religion, or even their political associations; and that is exactly what happens when people are categorized into groups. One group will always have something negative to say about another group, and on it goes. Every single human being, no matter what mistakes they have made in life, is still a human being with thoughts, feelings, and a soul. I try to treat others as I want to be treated.

Because we as a species need a way to organize data in our minds so it is natural for us. We think of things as hot or cold or by the usages to us and therefore stereo types are just another way of, for lack of a better term, organizing our Rolodex of information. It is party our socialization and partly our biology.
However, having said that... Labeling and organizing are in and of themselves not a bad thing, it is the negative implications and treatment that result from this labeling that are.
I am a strong supporter of just letting people be who they are and being who we are and avoiding labels whenever possbile but i think too many people especially School aged people think that the NEED to have opinions about everything and make judgments. So i agree with you, it is just a silly thing to do but it is, more than likely, one of those things you may need to live with.

I do not mind to live with it but I also beleive that if you can get one person to understand and see that it is not needed then maybe they will help someone and you start a new trend of people being people not afraid to say things and try new things, thank you for sharing I do like your response very much.
