Do you like the new Beatles album 'Love'?

I do! I was all ready to hate it as it seemed almost sacreligious to mix and mash the Beatles back-catalogue, but I really approve of the result and think that some songs (such as Hey Jude) are actually improved! Although I think that the fact that George Martin produced it has helped me to accept it more... What do you think? I hear there's a lot of people out there that disapprove of messing with the classics...

It's absolutly awesome. My husband and I listened to it in the car on a trip and every two minutes were screaming at each other, "They mixed a solo from a different song into this song!" (In a good screaming kind of way, and at the time of course there were song titles being screamed, I just can't remember off the top of my head which solos were switched). Anyway, it rocks, I have to hook up my DVD player so that I can see the DVD that came with it in the package.

:) That's what me and my dad did too. I especially like the buildup to Get Back using, amongst other things, the drum solo and guitar battle from Carry that Weight/The End. Oh, and Drive My Car/The Word is damn cool too! I wish I'd gotten the DVD version though - in my impulsive enthusiasm to get the album I just grabbed the closest one in the shop, and didn't even bother to think there would be a better one... I never normally do that! But the DVD would be cool. I think it has all the Cirque de Soleil acts on it? Thanks for responding, and enjoy the album (set the volume to 11 man... :) )

I haven't heard the new Beatles' album, "Love"! I don't think I'll bother, I like the classics...

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too, but then I saw it in the shops for $17 (about US$11) and couldn't resist, and now I'm a convert! :) Thanks for your comment!
