What is the biggest mistake you have ever made?

Mine, by far, is putting my career before family and then mishandling the money I made from that career.

My biggest mistake would be listening to other people's advice about my career choice. Rather than follow my feelings on it, I let myself be convinced that they were right and I was wrong. I wasted 7 or 8 years of my life before I finally decided to pursue my dream job. Now, it wasn't their fault. They were just being honest and concerned. It was my mistake.
