My thoughts are simple on religious books. Be it Quran, Bible or any other Holy book, all of them teach us to search within in order to attain better state. There is no conflict with one another. Only war is between one's virtues and one's vices. And they show the way to win over vices.
My aim of this discussion is to gather such teachings as well as individual understandings to support my belief. It would be better if we can collect the similar thoughts expressed in different religious books and similar thoughts which come in our mind based on our everyday life together to understand the essence of Universal Brethrenhood.
We often confuse between religion and the belief in God. Let me point out firmly, that even a non-believer can discuss this forum since this is on Humanity, not on the debate of existence of some super power

Be Mindful, O Lord
Be mindful, O Lord, of those who travel by land, by sea, and by air; of the old and young, the sick, the suffering, the sorrowing, the afflicted, the captives, the needy and the poor; and upon them all send forth Thy mercies, for Thou art the Giver of all good things.

Don't you think God acts through us? Do we follow the same what we expect from God? "Thou art the giver of all good things" - I am one of those good things. Do I be mindful "of those who travel by land, by sea, and by air; of the old and young, the sick, the suffering, the sorrowing, the afflicted, the captives, the needy and the poor"? Do I think they are also the gift of God and they are also among those Good Things like myself?
