XBOX 360 or PS3?

Anyone played both of these systems and which one would you recommend and why? I am thinking of getting one but do not know which is the better buy .

i suggest not buying anyone. cuz u can get all of them literally for free well not exactly but u can pay under 10$ and be registered to get one for free. don't believe me check it out yourself registration is free http://www.xpango.com?ref=90112336

i want the xbox 360 myself cuz most PC games also get released on xbox versions

I highly recommend the Xbox 360. It is a fabulous piece of software and it much cheaper than the ps3. People talked about there being many exclusives on the ps3 but if you look carefully they all seem to be going to the Xbox 360, Assasin's creed is a good example. In fact there seems to be more Xbox 360 exclusives including Lost planet and the game of the year 2006 Gears of war.

I am a Sony fiend & i think i will go for a ps3 - seems like an awesome console to me. Very versatile as well.
