I am an avid reader and have mass quantities of books piled up. I want to start selling these off to make a little extra income. I have no doubt that at the rate I read, I will always have a steady supply to sell. Does anyone do this on a regular basis? I would love some advice as to the best way to list, as well as other sites (half.com, amazon) that I could sell these on.

I would suggest start your own website for selling books. Remember there are not many sites which do that. When things pick up.. you can allow other users to sell and buy books. Even e-books are becoming popular nowadays. Just my suggestion.

Wow, I never thought of that, but you have a very valid point. There are not many online options for buying used books besides the 3 already mentioned. Thank you.

Books will not fetch a lot of cash, so be careful to check on selling fees and if using ebay and Paypal there are seperate and high fees for both. It all adds up...Errr... and gets deducted!!! You could do better on Amazon. You have the option just to list them for sale at a price rather than auction. I cannot advise you which is best for you.

I always list my books at paperbackswap. That way I get credits to get more books. http://www.paperbackswap.com/index.php?n=2&r_by=lonestarmama@gmail.com

I think its a good idea to sell on e-bay. I would list a 7 day auction, start on a Sunday night around 10 pm that way when the auction ends you will have alot of possible buyers looking at your auction. The reason to end on a Sunday night is that during sunday between 9 and 11 pm are the most people on e-bay. Which will give you a higher chance of selling your item.

www.webay-4-u.com Try this. They walk you through the selling of things I think. Might help. Ebay's tough to learn to use.
