i noticed u'r avatar ever since i first came to mylot. since is my favorite monument around the world i really like u'r choice. + for u'r avatar :)

I use my real picture. I'm the one on the left - the guy on the right is San Diego sportscaster and radio personality Eddie Pappani. I used it just cuz I think it's badass.

lol i couldn't have said it better. i don't know him, but he must be pretty important since u accepted to take a photo with him :P. kidding. nice picture though, i'm glad u shared it with us.

Real pictures usually look silly as avatars when they're that small, because they're squished to fit. I picked this animated one that I created. It originally had my name written in it, but I removed it. =] I'm a biggie on original avatars for things.

congrats u'r very talented and it makes sense to use u'r own work as an avatar especially if u also like them and have talent in creating them

Some use avatars or none at all to hide their identities or for some other reasons but I use my real photo because I like to see the person I am writing to and know others would also like to see me when they are writing to me. It's obviously more comfortable writing to someone you know than to a complete stranger and a photo would help much in unveiling that mystery.

I choose to use a real picture- this way people can get to know me and sort of get an idea of what I am like. I know a fake picture gives you an example of the person's interest but a real picture does more I think. I mean take a look at my picture. It is of me and my man. you can obivously tell we are in live and by our outfits you might conclude we are hicks lol...

i totally understand and share u'r point of view. i use in my yahoo messenger a photo very dear to me (i took it myself) with a family's friend kitties. here i chose this one because i always felt atracted to faires, legends and myths and i thought it represents me a little. thank u for sharing u'r opinion on this matter

When I originally put up my avatar it was just some sceanery but I noticed sooo many people here have pictures. It was then I put my true photo as my avatar. I also thought it would be nice to see a face with a reply/comment/discussion.

yes u'r right. i was amazed by the number of portrait pictures people use as an avatar. that's why i asked myself how many of them are really uploading their own pictures.

I think I prefer using my picture as an avitar on most sites. I've met alot of people this way..."Hey don't you post on ..." So my avitar is Me and Gizmo. My little Chihuahua. I don't always use it though, I have a couple of different ones I use. My favorite is a little cartoon Chihuahua dodding his head.

it's refreshing to see people to be remembered upon what they truly are. and u'r case shows just that. i also have some lovely pictures with a family friends kitties, but i use them only in my messenger.

This is a real photo of me taken earlier this evening. It's the first time I've used my picture on here. I had a glittery avatar first and then a photo of real kissy lips, though not mine, that had a cool color scheme, but I felt like sticking my mug up on here for once. It just looks funny the way they shrink it down on the question pages. :\

Yes I use a genuine picture of me. Wouldn't want it any other way. I get really annoyed with young men who use pretty girl avatars. Are they really tryingt to pass as women or are they so short of girls that they have to worship just a picture?
I am what I am. I can deal with it.

This picture was one i was thinking a bout getting as a tattoo.. and well since i dont have the money to get the tattoo i decided to use it here so people can see it on my profile instead of on my skin. i love dragons, cute ones, baby ones, and scary ones too. moreso the cute ones though.

I don't use my real photos as I still find the internet unsafe. I also try not to reveal too much about myself online as I feel it's dangerous as these people might be tracking you down. You'll never know how many crazy people there is out there. Better to be safe than sorry!

yes thats correct even yours also a portrait picture not a ur real picture ,if you ask you ask ur self why u selected a fairy as ur avatar u ge the answer.
anyhow i like the model picture very much thats why i selected this
