Hi Ritchel! I met my husband online and we're no happily married. I am also a Pinay. It is good to hear that you've known each other for quite sometime now. Just be very careful because there are so many crazy people in the internet. I mean, if you think he is a nice guy..that's great but be very cautious. Don't just give your heart. Wait till you meet in person. Then you can weigh things and decide if it is a love to keep.

so i guess this is the same mysterious guy you earlier mentioned? Its hard, you know,to give trust on someone especially if that person is someone you barely know. Who could give you an idea whether or not he has pure intentions or just deceiving you? be extra cautious and do not give off any personal information re you and your family...

I say you can, only because I have.
its possible, very much so, you just have to be careful and take your time on finding out about him.
Make sure he is telling the truth and all that.

You also found your love one in the internet? You are the same with beyonce03 and gigarange. Wow! It is really amazing but i was just wondering why do some people hide themselves and don't reveal their true color. I am also wondering why does my mysterious guy wants to be mysterious and want me to see him when i will finish my studies? Why can't i see him now even on cam?

I couldn't say for sure. I'm really wary of befriending people online, especially trying to form a romantic relationship.
Personally, I think the only way to truly know if it is love is to meet in person. Communicating with someone through text is very different from communicating with speech. Talking with someone in person really gives you a better sense of the chemistry between the two of you. When writing or typing, you don't get the same feelings.
And of course, there is the safety and honesty concerns. You don't really know who you're talking to. People can say they are anyone. This man could be lying about his age, relationship status, lifestyle. It could even be someone playing a prank on you! I'm not trying to be a downer, I'm just a realistic pessimist
My point is I don't suggest you view this relationship with too much interest. I'm not saying things will definitely not work out, but it would be more practical, safer and beneficial if you were to pursue a relationship with someone you can meet and see in person.

for me, I have to say no, i think the internet is a world of illusion and love is dependent upon knowledge and trust

Of course you can find true love on the internet and 3 members of my family are the proof :P. My uncle, my brother and I all find our love on the internet. But I don,t think that all long distance relationship on the internet can work.
Hopefully I felt in love with someone that was living in the town next to mine. Well we didnt felt in love at first sight. We were having feeling for each other and I only felt in love when I met him.
So you can give it a try :)

Sometimes internet love is good but it can't be said anything unless you meet him and know more about him. If he's been caring towards you then its a nice thing and you should meet him to know more about him.

of course, if it's your destiny to find a true love, then it will happen. nowadays, one should be aware that what you want is not what you've expected. ANYBODY can be SOMEBODY especially in the internet. you're still young, you can still find one true love even if you don't surf and browse the internet. just be wary because you really don't know him. it's just like this, he should be man enough to let you know about him, personally. he should have the guts to say all those mushy and sweet things he told you in the internet. if he can't do it in person, well at least show you some pictures of himself and his family, might as well not bury yourself too deep to wait for him. save your imaginations and illusions. ask him to show himself personally then when that day comes, you will really feel (heart) or know (mind) if he's your true love.

hi there!
we had actually the same situation when i was still in highschool.
it started when i first using the chatroom.
he's been courting me for a year or so..
...still we never see each other. i had his picture though but he havent seen me even my picture.
we lasted for only a month or 2. know why? cuz he was suddenly fallen inlove with my cousin.
they, too chatted. they've seen each other so there is a possibility for him to fall inlove with her.
girl, just one advice. even if you have chatted over a decades, with the fact that you've never seen him? its not enough for you to fall inlove with him.
thus, find a real guy.
=)
