what is this war really about?

I find myself asking this question alot. Why are we over seas? Why don't we just mind our own business? The quote goes some like " to help other people we must first help oursleves". I realize that we have oil over there and it's our best resouce for it however Why are we trying to make other countries conform to how our country is? We have people here that are homeless and we can't even help them cause we are spending billions on war!! does anyone feel the same way I do? Even if you don't I want to hear your opinion!
