Well the end of an era. I am a Bengals fan, but always liked it when Cincy/Pitt played. Fans of each side would go silly. I'm glad to see him go though. No coach can stay current in the NFL for 18 yrs and be as productive as he was early. Too many things change, yet a coach doesn't. Anyway, if we can get rid of some of the Bengals criminals, we'll be in good shape. Marvin said he was going to clean house, then he signed a dude that just spent 300 days in jail. Who knows.

Cowher will be back in a year or two with a big contract from someone. Older coaches sometimes quit and take a year or two off then return look at coaches like Parcells, Gibbs, Shell, etc.

Yea but look at Shell, he's gone after one year. Parcells won't last in Dallas too much longer and Gibbs is looking at maybe 2 more seasons and done again.

I disagree that Cowher didn't change over his tenure. Most people forget the hell that was Kordell Stewart. Cowher's always been a defense guy and when he was more hands-on with the offense, it was a joke. The Steelers lost a bunch of offensive coordinators over the years to head coaching jobs elsewhere and Coach Cowher kept finding new guys and let them run with their schemes. He knew what his weaknesses and strengths were and adapted. That's a key to longevity in the league.

I am a Bengals fan but we used to live in PA so we were Pitt fans for a period. I do believe Cowher will return somewhere possibly in the next few years but you do make an excellent point about things changing and coaches not. As far as the Bengals (who dey gonna arrest next) is getting so old and I did not hear about this newest criminal. However I do feel good about the team all in all and thought they were going to get further then they did....

Yeah, well I know what you mean. As a Steeler fan, we always held our collective breath when we played you guys because anything could happen. I remember one year we oly lost 3 games, but two of them were to the Bengals. The Bengals only won three games that year. Go figure. It will not be the same without couch Cowher, though.
