i really liked it and learned that it is so important to stand by your man. June Carter saw past so many of Johnny Cash's faults and she stood by him. While his first wife only criticized him and tried to crush his spirit. Its really changed my outlook in life about my husbands dreams and am careful not to crush them. What about you...did you like the movie? what did you get out of it?

Stand by your man is an admirable way to go. But not to be taken as gospel. Some guys will just take advantage. You still need to be of sound judgement to know when to hold 'em or Know when to fold 'em.

I know. I agree with you. There are many selfish men out there that DO take advantage of women like that. Thanks for the response, as always. :)

I loved the movie & I love Johnny Cash. i'm not really a big fan of country music but I still think Johnny Cash is the BEST country singer ever! I really liked the movie & yes I'd agree that it's important to support those that you love.

I thought the movie was great. I never liked country music either but I wanted to see the movie because I heard such great things about it. Turns out it was as great as they said it was! I'm now a Johnny Cash fan because his music reminds me of the movie...It was such a great love story. It also is a good motivator to never give up on someone you believe in or give up on anything you feel strongly about! One of my favorite movies of all times.

OMG!!! You HAVE to rent it. Its a really good movie. I hesitated in renting it for a long time, but when I watched it, it brought tears to my eyes and it just made me realize that you can destroy somebody with the words you say or you can build them up. Its a beautiful love story. Im sorry that I wasnt a Johnny cash fan back then, but now I like listening to his music.

I love Walk The Line. I actually have a friend who's a pretty hardcore Johnny Cash fan, so I knew a little about him when the movie came out. But the only reason I actually went to see the movie in theatres was because of Tyler Hilton's cameo. I ended up getting the DVD and I watch it often. I became so inspired by June and ended up loving some of the songs. It's a great film.

I saw it. I had to. I was a strange little girl, I had the biggest crush on Johnny Cash. LOL! I was crazy about him as far back as I can remember. Being so hung up on him growing up, I pretty much knew about how he had lived his life. So, I wasn't surprised by it. It was a good movie.

Love, love, love this movie - it's actually one of my favorites now. I didn't know much about Johnny Cash before watching it either, and now I'm a huge fan. I too hate that I didn't appreciate his music while he was alive. His is an amazing story of overcoming addiction and the obstacles that true love can overcome. I really liked Reese Witherspoon before I ever saw the movie, and now I'm a big Joaquin Phoenix fan as well. Besides from being absolutely hot, I was so impressed by the articles I read about how he tackled that role - guitar lessons, hours and hours of practicing just how to hold it the way that JC did, mastering his facial expressions and even the way that he walked. It's amazing how dedicated he was to that role, and I thought it showed in his performance.

I LOVED the movie. I didnt realize that Johnny traveled with Elvis and all those others. It was a very meaningful movie. It did but alot of perspective on what goes on in the Music business. Although I slightly agree with you that it did show alot of strength and weekness of relationships and what is really worth fighting for.
