Nicely said Idefix72;
A day or noght of silence is perfect to "recharge our batteries". A time to ponder what we can not or do not otherwise.
Recently noticed, is that when the power goes out, suddenly all is so very still and silent. One stops to ponder the amount of electro magnetism going on in our lives, daily otherwise.
A day after a snow storm in the wide open range, the sound of silence kindly interupted by the chirp of a bird or snow rustling to the ground as it falls from a trees bows can be heard, in the stillness of silence. A great way to recharge indeed.
I once resided in a busy city where sirens went day and noght with only a 3 hour or so window without. The first night sleep in a nre remote location, the silence pleasantly woke me.

Yes I enjoy some silence after the kids are gone to school and hubby is off to work. It's really nice to sit back and enjoy the peace while you relax your mind, body & soul so that you can feel refreshed in order to complete any tasks that you might need to take care of!!! I think it's important to have some silence everyday.
