So i had decided to join the ebay world a little while ago. I enjoy making jewerly, and needed some extra money. Well i ended up not selling anything (had 11 things up) and got the bill for 6 bucks for putting ads up for them. Can some one tell me what i did wrong and why in the world nothing sold

You have to start your autions out at a low price. For example if it cost you $1 to make a necklace and you want to sell it for $10, don't start the bidding at $10 - start it at the lowest price you would take for it - like $2 or $4 - people on ebay like to bid on things when they are priced low - they don't mind bidding higher, but like to start low. But, if you are not willing to take only $2 for your necklace - don't price it at that just in case the bidding doesn't go up.
Alos, make sure to include a picture or two - people liek to see what they are getting. And be as descriptive as possible and make sure to say that you would be happy to answer any questions!!!
Good luck!!!

also make sure your auction last for 7 days - that way more people will get to see it!!

You may have a lot of competition in your area of sales. Look at the auctions of who you are competing against, if this is the case, and see how you can change your auctions so that they stand out. Lower price, shipping discount on multiple items, clearer pics, etc. are a few ideas to get you started.

Jewelry is a hard one to sell. There is so much competition, and so many listings to wade through. You really need to get a fanbase or following to do well with it. Maybe try selling other things? The bill adds up fast. Try not to use any of the gimmick options like subtitles. All you really need is the basic insertion fee and the gallery picture.

I agree with the above posts. I would also suggest you offer a postage discount for buying multiple items that way hopefully more than one of your items catch somebodies eye. I wish you all the best in your endeavours and hope you succeed.

It might be how you presented the offer, how the layout was on the listed item. Also the price may be to high, might have to start lower than u want, and then hope the demand picks up and then you can increase your price.
