why do UNDERDPOGS fascinate us ??

Life is a big game, and most of us are tagged as underdogs . Do u feel gud abut it ?? Hollywood clasics like Rocky franchise have made millions harping on this issue...why do we love it when an underdog, creates an upset..is it beacuse we are jealous of the success of the fav..or we find it easier to connect to underdog way of life..where all are pitted against u,...put in some thoughts as to why underdogs like Rocky Balboa have been the darlings of the mass...

The underdog represents the voice of the people. When they win , we win. The regular guy or gal has to fight for everything they have.

That's a good question....I always root for the underdog if my team isn't involved and it never fails to bring joy when they win. I don't really know why I do it. For example, when the United States played against Portugal in the World Cup I rooted for the United States although my favorite is the Portugal National Team because I know about all the players....and many of them play for my team in Lisbon. I think in some ways I would have preferred a tie but Portugal beat them. Perhaps it's because it is the American way of thinking. I guess it's about choosing between the haves and the have nots in that the latter need our support more and winning or getting to the top means more hard work and more sacrifice to be a winner. Who knows?

Hi gifana( if tht's ur real name :) ), well I must say u read my mind..I get thrilled when an underdog creates an upset..somehow in my subconscious mind ,I root for them,but the active mind which is much smarter and mean is always with the champ..I don't know why,but very often I get intigued by this ??, so thought why not take some opinions...thanks for ur time..

There's something inspirational about the underdog. We root for the underdog because we appreciate the challenge they have to overcome.
