Do You Always Type The Word Friends Wrong?

I notice that when I mistype a word, I tend to mistype it over and over. I play Lingo on gsn.com sometimes and "youth" is a word that comes up quite a bit. I always type it "youtt" and I don't have a clue why, but I mistyped it the first time it came up and now I always type it that same way and have to go back and change it. Weird how the brain works, huh?

Hmmm... Can't say that I have that problem. I usually type it out correctly. Friend. Friends. Friend. Yep, no problems here. Maybe your fingers just can't keep up with your brain. LOL I tend to have the opposite problem. My brain usually can't keep up with my fingers!

You know what...I do the same thing! I can't understand it either, my typing skills are usually right on, but for some reason I do this almost every time myself...if you figure it out, please let me know!...lol

Beats me, the only thing that I can think of that might be causing it though, is unconsciously you do know what letters are needed to spell friend and the 'r' is next to the 'e' maybe it is nothing more than just a speed error...SS

Our brain capacity and the finger's speed is not working at the exact same speed. that's why you have a conflict of movement from your fingers. It means your fingers are confused because your brain moves faster. I too often do these types of mistakes. For example when typing weird I will type wierd, things like that.

I think I used to get the word friends wrong long ago but it doesn't happen now .. I still make repeated stupid typos with other words though ..

just only word "friend".no meanings? oly type no meaning? hmm alwys happen on mylot.

When you type faster then some mistakes occur may be this is one such mistake of fast typing.

i suffer the same way too.. i always find it hard to tyep even i know how ot spell it but my hands just keep doing the wrong spelling.. i always spell it "freind"! i dont know but i keep doing this even i focus on my typing...

I usually end up with the word friends typed correctly, because I am good with those keys. However, if I am moving fast, there are times when I will hit the 't' and bunch of times when it was supposed to be a 'r'. Those two are my problematic keys. In your case, I think your left hand wants to get to the 'e' after you type the 'r', before your right hand can get to the 'i'.

ya i personally feel its due when we are frenzy of typing and also arrangement of keys E and R on keyboard being close to each other results in such occurence .......... freind .. friend .. oops sorry for mistake!!!!!!

I usually don't spell friend wrong but I do have certain words that no mater what I always spell wrong on the computer. The 2 words I spell wrong most often are "the" and "like". I dunno why I do this but I just do! =)

There are certain words that we always type wrong, one of them is friends, the other one is your name and the most common one is the "and". I have been typing longer than I can remember and no matter what you do to correct these spellings you have a hard time doing it, the experts recommending repeating typing of these words to correct your mistakes and perhaps that works, but who has time for such these days ...

LOL! I have this same problem! Every time I type it and look up, there is spelled wrong. I don't know why I do that.
