My Rottwieler Kujo was at an adoption fair at Petsmart 7yrs ago. I was there getting bird food and fell in love. My 2nd Rottwieler, Biscuit was a stray he was found trying to herd our goats, lol. We guess his age to be about 2.5yo he wasn't full grown when he came to us. One day we got a call from the animal control officer, she knew we were wanting a yellow lab. He was a 2yo owner surrender. We found out pretty quick that he was deaf, the vet said he'd suffered severe trauma (likely abuse from previous owner). The last one we got in July, we were at some friends of my mother in law. They had a Golden Retriever and her 3mo litter of puppies. The puppies dad was a Great Pyrenees, my hubby fell in love with one of the females. She's the only one who isn't an actual rescue. They are all wonderful!

I do not believe in dog breeding. There are far too many dogs that need good homes that are available to be adopted by people who will love them.
I have adopted every dog I've ever had and have only ever regretted one. It was the one and only untrainable dog I've ever come across in my life. That dog would go outside and hold it until he came in the house then piss all over the place, but that's another story! lol
My Ana is the love of my life as was Warf before her and both of them were adopted, as will be my next family addition.

Our current dog Lassie, she's a collie that looks like her namesake although we didn't name her, we got from Collie Rescue. She's a beautiful dog that we love dearly. Over the years I've had several dogs. Only one did I purchase as in from a dog shop or breeder. All of our other dogs were from the pound or humane society. Although I loved our shih-tzu overall I would recommend getting one that really needs a home from a pound or rescue place. It's were we have gotten all of our cats as well.

We live on a farm and I have heard every reason in the world as to why someone can't keep thier dog So you guessed right. The dog population just keeps growing at our place
I can't remember having a puppy All the dogs are rescue of some sort.
I have a strict policy about spaying and neutering for the simple reason that the world does not need anymore unloved animals

I bought my 1st dog, a jack russell from a breeder, and the person wasnt a good breeder, but I didnt know about puppy mills and backyard breeders until I started going to forums..
My 2nd dog, a chihuahua was adopted from Yahoo classifieds, the owner was urgently trying to get rid of him..

Our last 2 dogs were purchased from a private home. We have adopted dogs from the Humane Society in the past as well to keep them from being put down.
