How much do you drink...honestly?

Hello everyone - I am wondering how much do you drink per week? Honestly. Recommended limit for alcohol intake is 14 units per week for women and 21 for men...so not fair is it ladies!

So how much do you reckon you drink per week. I know its just after the Christmas period so perhaps whatever you drunk in the last fortnight is unrepresentative of the rest of the year. I would say that my average drink intake for the last 2 weeks has been about 18 to 22 units per week, give or take. What about you?

I drink pints of lager. I go to the pub probably twice a week, on Wednesdays for darts and on Fridays to meet friends socially. I will drink around six pints per night... maybe one or two more on a Friday, as the pub doesn't close until two hours later than normal, with its extended licence.
I'm not sure, but I think each pint is two units, so, in effect, I'm drinking twice my weekly quota.
Oooooerrrrr! What a bad girl! :-)

I read your response and thought I bet this person is from England. I was right. Nice to know theres another darts fan on mylot, who likes their lager!!!

I dont usually drink during the week but I will have 7 or 8 gin & diet 7 ups when I have a drink at the weekend and sometimes more.I usually drink on a Sat night but not every Sat night (just most of them) I know this is much more than Im supposed to have in one sitting and I dont care. Its my out of my head time and I enjoy it immensly.

In 1990's, I had no job and there was disturbance in the family life, I had a couple of friends who used to host drinks almost every alternate days. Mostly whisky of 90 ml per day. Later on this drinking has created a lot of health problem and I gave up in 1992. Since then I never touched the drinks.

I only drink at the weekends, usually both friday and saturday/ on friday night i might have a quater bottle of vodka and a few alcho pops. on saturday nights i dont know how much i drink because im in the pub but its always over 6 drinks. and im usually drunk both them nights. its this ok because i do try to be heathy but i want to have fun as well.
am NOT an alchoholic! i drink less than my friends, im a student all students drink it doesnt mean your an alchoholic.an alchoholic is someone who wants to drink everyday, i know because my dad is one and this is not the problem.
Its just that i care about my health and wondering if its 2 much.
The reason i drink is because im socialising and u actually can have a better night after a few drinks.

Hi friends first of all i am a non drinker but i suggest people not to drink at all because just for the sake of pleasure we cant kill ourselves

We drink because we like to. SOme of us drink to give us confidence, not usually a good idea. Others drink to lose their inhibitions. Others drink because its their culture. A small minority drink as they are addicted. Some drink a small amount as this can be healthy. Others drink as they need to move to a different reality for a time - their weekly holiday?
