Here is a sticky subject. Should boys play with dolls if they want to? Lets say there is a doll in the room and he walks up to it and starts to play with it. Would you take it away and say "no son this is a girls toy.", and give a truck to play with?

Boys and girls should be allowed to play with dolls. My son used to put his doll in a pram and push it around. He would dress up and wear my shoes all the time when he was little.
Where I work, all the boys and girls have access to dolls. They learn through play and all they are learning about is their world which involves people and relationships, nothing else.
Are you hinting that if you let a boy play with a doll he will become gay?

No. That is not what I am saying at all. I personally have let my son play with my daughters baby doll. I was just wondering what everybody else thought. I personally think that it is a man thing.

Ok. Its just the way you started the discussion I wasn't sure if you thought it was a sticky subject or not.
I know alot of parents who have freaked out when their sons have taken an interest in playing with dolls.
Thanks for replying. I didn't mean to offend you I was just curious why you were asking the question. Cheers!!

I think it would be far more harmful to take that doll away from the child.I think by allowing the child to play with it allows them to be nurturing to something. The child will think they are doing something wrong if it is taken away. What harm really is playing with dolls?
