Well I had a pre-cancer 7 years ago on my cervix. It had gone to it's final stage before going cancer when I was 7 months pregnant. It was a scare there for awhile because there was talk of taking the baby early in order to treat it. But I managed to carry her until term and then had treatment. I am fine so far.
Now my mother at the age of 65, is a cancer survivor. She had uterine cancer last year and just finished her 29th dose of radiation last month. She is now cancer free. It was an ordeal to say the least. I was right there with her every step of the way.
Cancer is a vicious beast that does not discriminate. It will get the young, the old, males, females it just doesn’t care.
Congrats on beating it!

Mine was on my cervix as well, I just went for my routine smear test and I got a phone call the next day could I just pop into the hospital as the consultant just wanted a quick word about something. so off I went only to be told I had full blown cancer and they would like to operate asp.
Just shows how important a smear test can be!
Glad to hear you are all ok now, Thanks for replying

I was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2003.it was at its early stages so i had surgery done and it took care of it.It has not came back so far so i guess i was just lucky.i was horrified when i was diagnosed.but i was lucky that they caught it in the early stages so i did not have to worry about going to chemo or radiation.

Most of my dad's family had cancer and so too had my sister and my cousin. Thankfully, due to the cancer being caught in time, my sister and cousin are now leading perfectly normal healty lives. I am delighted to hear that you have survived and I wish you many many years of good health.
