if mylot shows the count of number of discussions the users have started then it would be easy to find out how active and creative the user is ..do u agree with it

I think it only shows discussions you start after somebody replies to it because I saw my number go up and I coodnt figure out why and I think it was because I made a discussion and it took a long time for somebody to write back but when they did I got a point.

I do not think it ever shows a point for a discussion you start. It will give you points sometimes for contributing more to a discussion. For instance, if you see my comment to the previous response, it gave me a response point when I posted there. I typed quite a bit in. It did not give me a point for saying "Thank you" above that. I do not know if I will get a point for commenting now to you. That is not why I am answering you, though. I just felt like I had something useful to say, even if I do not get a point.I only see my points go up for responses. Maybe you get points for some of your comments as well.

It would be nice to know how many discussions we have created to see how we are doing with starting discussions and also seeing how many people reply to our topics. I would like to see more of a breakdown of our stats, though I do not want to compare myself with others.

Yes I think that what the go by rating, whether you rte a person, that how they keep count, don't quote me though. I heard something like that, maybe you can get answers from more people. I would like to know to.

I learnt this very recently. When you start a discussion your rating will not increase by 1. But when the first response is made to the discussion your rating will go up by 1. I learnt this when I one day responded to about 60 discussions with 0 responses of the same person. Even the user who started the discussion was amazed to see that his rating had suddenly gone up by 60.

Yeah, it would be a good thing. Cuz right now we can only see which ones our friends have started.

Not really, a person can contribute to a discussion forum like myLot also by just responding to posts. This is not a test of your creativity! Activity is measured differently, by number of posts, how relevant the posts are, how much they contribute to the community, and so on. Sorry, but I beg to differ.
