My daughter came home from school one day and told me she had watched the beheading of Ken Bigley on her friends mobile phone!
I was absolutely disgusted that she had been able to see this. She told me her friend did not tell her what is was before she watched it and she only saw a bit of footage before looking away. She was really disturbed by this!!
With so many sites now available to download just about everything, our children are increasingly exposed to horrific images.
Please ensure you check your child's phone. Especially now the hanging of Saddam has been leaked!!!
Even if no one responds to this. Please take this seriously as it happened to my child.
Thank you!!!

That is disgusting! I know the dangers of children and cell phones but I had never thought about them downloading videos. Wow - what a scary world we live in.

I know. I was told today by my daughter that she knows someone who has now downloaded the hanging of Saddam onto their phone.
What are we exposing our children to nowadays. It scares me too.
Thanks for responding.

Please do not take offense to this, but stories like yours is the very reason why I won't get those things for my girls. They are only 10 and 7, but they both have friends with these things. It's too much info. in their hands that their minds are not ready for. In your case, I don't thing many would ever be ready for that.
Bless her heart that is an awful thing her "friend" did to her. I would tell her mother, regardless of her age. Let Mom know what she is doing with this thing.

I don't take offense at all. I never let my kids have phones until they were 13. My daughter was 16 when she saw this.
You are a good parent who knows the dangers involved but there are so many who do not have a clue as to what their children can witness.
Thanks for you response.
