I saw on the news tonight that Pfizer is coming out with a diet pill for dogs. It's called Slentrol and it is suppose to be an appetite suppresent and reduces fat absorption. The news report continued on to say that obesity in dogs is becoming more widespread because dogs don't get enough exercise. This diet pill is suppose to be available in the United States through vet's offices only. I thought this was interesting. My little dog is small and not overweight. I haven't actually seen very many overweight dogs. What do you think? Do you have an overweight pet? Is this an advancement to help our pets conquer some of the issues we also face?

I think diet pills for dogs are silly. Don't people have control over what their dogs eat? Just feed them less, or the right kind of food, and take them for a walk once in a while! The pharmaceutical companies are already making too much money, sounds like a plot to get some of that money from the pet owners now!
