Most people says that we need to go to church every sunday..I dont know what is the reason..Does it important to go to church just for the sake what we can be near to God and also that God will hear our prayings? I am not that religious but i do believe in God..I just go to church if i have a spare time..If i feel i dont like going to church then now..why should i force myself.. i think that wherever you are..if u wanted to pray heartily then maybe God hear your prayer..

I believe it's important to attend Church, the bible states that we should not forsake the assembling of ourselves together -- and also the bible tells us that God provide us with pastors and teaches etc. You can pray anywhere, anytime God will always hear your prayers, He only but a whisper away -- part of attending Church is to learn and grow in Christ, His word and to be among people of like faith. Personally, I enjoy Church alot - we have 2 services on Sundays and my husband and I normally always attend both as well as the mid-week service. Keep praying and asking God - He will direct your path! Best wishes :)

I only go once a week, but I think this person explained why many find it important. As my priest would say, it's "making time in your schedule for god". I am often bored with the same-ol same-ol, but I go mostly for the homilies. The two priests we have both tell interesting stories and usually explain the bible in a way that relates to TODAY.
Now if you don't like going to church, or keep saying you don't have the time, maybe it's just YOUR church isn't that great. Maybe you should check out another! When we got our current priest, I was more interested in going to Sunday mass than I was before because he seems to "teach" more than just "preach"

To be religious or not to be religious is not the matter visiting one's place of worship daily..Its all about doing whatever one is doing ,more religiously, following one's principle's more religiously, carrying one's duty and responsibilities religiously..When one follows his/her duties religiously GOD is pleased its the greatest workship that one can have..

I read the worst sinners were the ones who went to church just for show, or to represent they were godly people, but weren't, there are people who don't attend church, but they do pray at home, they do believe in God.

i don't think a person should be so religious just for God to accept or hear his/her prayers. It is really inside the heart of a person, if it's pure or not. i think it's okay to be unfaithful to your religion BUT stay faithful to God. as long as you believe and accept Him as your savior, there's nothing to worry. i respect everyone's opionion so respect mine

Yes, you need not go to church to express your faith in god. Churchs, temples and shrines are all made by man, these are not created by God. All these things are artificial and these thing diversified human beings into different religion, caste etc. Let us all me human beings and love and respect each other

you are corrct, we can do prayer in mind and God will hear surely, it does not mean we should not go to church or temples. going to church and temples, has certain inner meaning. the inner meaning is there u will be seeing your god at the statue form and your thought will be fully over him and by seeing the fellow persons also your spirituality increase. there is of course as u said no nned to go to church . God does not told like that

I don't think that it matters how much you pray or go to church. I think that it matters to be a good person and do good to others.

The best way to be religious is
to live a good life. Going to
church means nothing. I believe
people go out of guilt. Either
by peer pressure or by something
they did. If God is what is believed
to be, then God is all knowing and
all seeing. If you wish to talk to
your God in a car, bathroom, store
or anywhere I'm sure he'll listen.

I agree with you and Its not compulsory or necessary to go to church, its all about your beliefs. Simply going to church will not help you in bringing close to God. You know work is worship...If you do your work with dedication and honesty and if you are not able to go to church, still you earn praise from god. If you believe in God then just do good to mankind ...his best creation and you will be rewarded.

this is my very personal believe and yes i believe it from my heart that this is not mandate that you have to be religious. religion is within our mind. i do believe in God, but it is nt neccessary to go to church or temple per a routine. i believe we are human that is the main and only religion we should have. we may have different opinion to achive something, but that 'something' is same for all. i do my religious activity just by loving people. see if you have one skeleton of God (u belive that is God) what is the point of serving something which doesn't have life at all, who doesn't feel what you are doing.
There are lots of people surrouding you need you. you small help can make a huge difference there life. so go and help them to get new life to get a flash of smile - that will be your true religious work.
i am not sure you will be agree with me. if you agree wirte me. i feel this is the one thing so many people told us, but we never care that.

Communicating with GOD is necessary as we be a human being need a support of super power. This communication can take place anywhere and anytime by anyone. All we need is desire to talk and focus mind. I may choose to talk to GOD in form of prayers in my office in mids of my work. Also i can attend friday mass.I believe that church gives the ambience necessary to invoke that communication, hence when we enter church or perhaps any workship place,we feel peace in mind.Others might pray at their house and talk to Almighty.
As far as communication is going on we can choose any place we want.May GOD be with us all the time.

i think going to church is not the way to be religious, going church is like to be as showing people tht ur religious u must be mindly spiritual thts all u need and u may visit the church when u get time, but i think it is a negative think tht u feel dnt like to going church u must go but only if u hav time and if u hav no time just think of him who is above u

Well I think that more than religiousness, people should be more of spiritual.
The reason why people flock to churches is probably because they feel that it's a special place, sacred and brings them closer to God. Although that's just a state of mind, I believe.
I don't regularly attend services myself but that doesn't make me feel less holy than the pious folks who do.

i was also of the view that i should pray only when i really feel but then i analysed as to why i pray only when i feel to and whats that feeling that makes me to pray. that feeling was of highly depression and i want something on which i can feel good. after then i am regular praying and i advice all them that there is something that is above human beings and thats god.

I don't know if I will tell this but I haven't been in church for almost 1 year i guess, I am very religious once in my life but right now I just don't like going to church , I believe in God so much but I am not very religious. I read bible and I pray as well. I just don't like hanging into church and see people who do nothing but looking for something to talk about.

if humanity is a religion then we must be religious and if barbarism is a part of religion then we should not follow it.
