what do u mean by "WWW"

i often see it on the address i type.. do we really have to type www in front of every wesite address..

WWW stands for world wide web. i think it is very necesssary to add the the three w's since thats what the protocol understand. greetings. : )

it is World Wide Web. You don't have to type in every address for access of the site.
