We buy our Frankie an ice cream cake on her birthday every year and have "Happy Birthday Frankie" written on it. We sing Happy Birthday and take pictures. And she gets to have a little taste of the cake.

I have a dog that I rescued. He was born in an old garage where I work. His mother abandoned him as soon as I showed an interest in feeding them. I tried for 9 months to catch him but he had never had human touch and had remained wild. I finally roped him and 2 friends helped me crate him. He remained at the Vet for 3 days for neutering, shots, etc. During his caged stay at the Vet he appeared as if his spirit had been broken. I was very worried about him. The first night I had him home I was afraid he would dig out of the backyard so I slept on the patio with him tethered to a rope around my waist. He slept some 20 feet away from me but when I woke up the next morning he was just off the patio with his head on my pillow. I had won him over.

I don't know if you consider this crazy but Thursday was three of my dog's birthday. I made them their own cupcakes and homemade dog biscuits. I also gave them one of my good comforters so they wouldn't have to lay on the cold floor.

This isn't really crazy, but Ana loves to go "bye-bye" with her Mama. She's my black lab, by the way.
When she does go with me, I will sometimes stop at Wendy's and buy her chicken nuggets. I know, they're probably not the best thing in the world for her, but she loves them and I love her, so it's a given.
