I give my children extra lessons after their regular school hours. It cannot be helped because our educational system is such that the school teachers will only teach them the basics and when it comes to examinations, the questions will include many analytical problems or wide range of vocabulary which are far beyond what are being taught in school. Therefore, the pupils will lag behind if their parents do not provide them with extra tuition.

thnx for such nice sharing.....this is true extra teaching is necessary for childs, School teachers just show the topics which covers the sylabus but detail study always provided by parents i think

I think it's harder when you formally teach your own kids. Parents are always educating their sons/daughters without knowing, verbal and non verbal cues. However I do think that teaching your own son/daughter is much harder than teaching other children. What do you think? What is your own experience?

Yes it is quite harder but I think parents can teach best of all tutors....... In starting its too hard to control childs when it comes in routine then ..will be ok. U r right ......

Thats a wonderful thing to do. Is she in regular school also or do you just home school her? My children go to regular school but I always make time to help and explain any homework or things they haven't understood at school that day.

good, i think thats better, than sending for private tuition. Little children do not need any additional tuition. do not burden your kids with too much discipline, or too much study. let them have other activities too, to help them grow in all ways.
