Why CON don´t work??

It´s a misterious... If you want to rename a folder,try to put the name CON,windows don´t let you put this name? Why?

I have also heard about this and I had tried several times to rename my folder with CON but I failed. I Guess, that word is a reserved word and we cant use it for renaming a folder.

They are reserved words . They cant be used as folder names ...

^ there can be different words for different windows versions . one more word is PRN ...

these reserved words are listed in io.sys file .
