How do you prefer to communicate online?
Discussion boards provide the opportunity for many people to give well-planned opinions on a variety of topics. People can edit what they write and many people can communicate in the conversation.
However, chat rooms provide instant real-time communication and enable people to communicate in a "real-life" situation.
Which do you prefer?
ps - if you're interested in chatting privately, send me a message!

I prefer discussions boards rather than chat rooms, because in chat rooms i cant understand who is replying whose answer, while in discussion boards you can comfortably put your thoughts and opinions to a person who is asking you a question. It is interesting and healthy too, lol

I like both Discussion Boards and Chat Rooms, although they can be addictive. I like chat rooms as you can chat instantly to firends, and Disucssion Boards as you can find out new things. Chat Rooms are unsafer, but I Find that Message Boards are only good depeinding on their topic, or what site they are on.

I like MyLot, don't get me wrong. But I do prefer Chat Rooms. Because in Chat Rooms you can put a person on ignore that is saying stupid things LOL. But on discussion boards, you have to wait until an admin can do something about it.

I like chat rooms with videocam coz you can interact with them on real time, You can see them too. Board discussions will take you minutes or never for reponse.

hi! if you'd ask me, i precfer to communicate on both chat rooms and discussion boards. its good to communicate on discussion boards because your thoughts and ideas on the topic is much more organized. in the other hand , chatting is a form of communication where you immediately type what you say. its an informal way of communication.

I like Discusion broads. I am spending more time on it. Thee are a lot of information discussion. So we have a varieties of ideas. And we know what type of people are. They can't lie to people longer. We know better here. I use chat rooms such as yahoo messenger just for urgent need.

hi, I feel both of them useful in their respective ways.
If you want to have a private conversation with your friends or with the known people then chat rooms are preferable, but if you dodn't know about the topic which you are discussing then discussing with so many people and get their knowldge about the topic and then moving forword is preferable so discussions boards should be used.
