Isn't it about time that we let this go now? mean fair enough people want to discuss this issue but I think we should now get over it. It's already happened. If we can just get over this then maybe we can get over the whole America agaisnt Iraq thing. Maybe it will settle down a bit if we do, I know most of it is from the media but people like us here should not be making these issues and hate towards each other grow any more than it has now.

Sadaam was worse than Hitler, he tortured his people before killing them. That is a fact. The people over there and in every country deserve to be free if they choose. We in America need to let it go. What is done is done. Sitting here in our free country and arguing over it is not going to change a thing. Lets all move on with our lives and let those people in Iraq choose their lives too.

Oh beleive me I hear that. Definately about time America and the rest of the world get over these issues that are having no positive effect on the world by arguing about them.

As long as we the people keep giving false power to these kind of leaders more will keep popping up. Put them out of your consciousness and dwell on all that is right and good. That way you are adding something with meaning to this world. To change this world we must change ourselves first.

I beleive this is what the whole situation for years should have taught most of us by now. Thank you very much for pointing this out. Change the way you think and everything changes around you and other people

This is my point exactly. The talk about all of this should be over.

There seemed to be less hype just before the hanging and it seemed pretty quiet in the media right up until it happened and then after. I think it has stirred up quite a bit of hostility though, as witnessed even here on mylot

I'm not sure but I think people will miss having someone to blame and point the finger at for everything. Who will they chose next? Oh yeah that's rite, Bin Ladin.

He already did that's the point. Obviously your still full of hate though I'm not sure that you have anything to hate for except maybe what you have heard on the news. Let it go man.

Well, yes and no - I mean it only happened a week ago! And it was a pretty politically defining moment, coz now there's a precedent set and the US can feel somewhat justified if they try to do the same thing in the Congo or in North Korea for example. And I don't think we'll get over the America vs Iraq thing until America sorts out the problems in Iraq that arer still there. It'd be very irresponsible if they just pulled out now and just said, OK, now it's time for them to sort things out for themselves. America still needs to be a guiding hand, but a lot more benevolent than they have been thus far.

the only thing that i can tell is that , the most difficult case for the people that fight for the human rights is when somebody that in the past violated the human rights of others now claims his human rights....Eg= sadam husein
